Objectives

Cambridge English: First, commonly known as First Certificate in English (FCE), is an upper-intermediate level qualification for learners preparing for success in the real world. Cambridge English: First is set at Level B2. This level is suitable for intermediate study such as foundation and pathway courses, or for starting work in an English-speaking environment. It shows that the learner is becoming skilled in English. Cambridge English: First helps learners to communicate confidently in familiar study environments, speak and use English in real-life work situations, take part in everyday English conversations, and develop their English language skills towards higher level qualifications.
